Our festival features an important aspect of Scottish heritage, the Scottish Games, sometimes known as Highland Games. With the many classes that participate, heart and passion is the only requirement, though a healthy dose of brawn doesn’t hurt either! From the well known caber-tossing, hefting a length of lumber up and away, to the sheaf toss, which may seem like something a pair of Scottish brothers challenged each other to while working hard on a farm, heaving heavy bales over a rising target, there is sure to be an event that will leave you in awe as a spectator, or challenge you as an athlete.
