2024 McMinnville Scottish Festival Competition Info
We are excited to announce the return of the Highland Dance Competition, as well as the Solo Piping and Drumming Competition, at the 2024 McMinnville Scottish Festival! We look forward to seeing all of you in October!
The Scottish Highland Dance Competition is returning to our 2024 festival on October 5th and 6th! Registration for the 2024 dance competition is now closed. Please join us in viewing this spectacular event, which will feature Premier and Pre-Premier Highland dances, Premier Thistle Challenge, Premier and Pre-Premier National dances and Choreography for Pre-Premier & Premier dancers! Competition Date: Saturday Oct 5th and Sunday Oct 6th, 2024

Saturday Dance Schedule: 11:00am – 3:00pm
Primary: 16 PDBs, PDBs & HCs, Fling (4), Sword (2&1)
Beginner: Fling (4), Sword (2&1), Seann Truibhas (3&1)
Novice: Fling (4), Sword (2&1), Seann Truibhas (3&1)
Intermediate: Fling (4), Sword (2&1), Seann Truibhas (3&1), Johnny (4)
Premier: Fling (4), Seann Truibhas (3&1), Johnny (4), Hornpipe (4)
Premier Thistle Challenge: Sailor’s Hornpipe (4) – Dancers finishing first, second or third in aggregate points in his/her age group qualify to dance in the challenge event. Money for Under 16 – 1st – $80.00, 2nd – $40.00, 3rd – $20.00. 16 and over 1st – $100.00, 2nd – $50.00, 3rd – $25.00

The 2024 McMinnville Scottish Festival is hosting our third annual Solo Piping and Drumming Competition! We are excited this is part of our festival itinerary, and know that participants and spectators will all enjoy this event!
