We are excited to announce the return of the Highland Dance Competition, as well as the Pipe Band Competition, and Solo Piping and Drumming Competition, at the 2025 McMinnville Scottish Festival! See below to find registration information for each competition. We look forward to seeing all of you on October 4th and 5th! Parking at event will be $5, payable by cash only.
The Scottish Highland Dance Competition is returning to our 2025 festival on October 4th and 5th! Registration for the 2025 dance competition is now open! Please join us in viewing this spectacular event, which will feature Premier and Pre-Premier Highland dances, Premier and Pre-Premier National dances and Choreography for Pre-Premier and Premier dancers! Beginner: Fling (4), Sword (2&1), Seann Triubhas (3&1), Trophy Fling (4)
Novice: Fling (4), Sword (2&1), Seann Triubhas (3&1), Lilt (4), Flora (4)
Intermediate: Fling (4), Sword (2&1), Seann Triubhas (3&1), Half Tulloch, Jig (3&1)

Solo Choreography: SATURDAY ONLY – Open to Pre-Premier & Premier Dancers. 3 mins max. Must have Celtic theme and use Highland/National movements.
Sunday Dance Schedule – PREMIER ONLY: 11:00am – 3:00pm
Premier: Blue Bonnets (4), Lilt (4), Earl of Errol (4), Hornpipe (4)
Medals will be awarded to Pre-Premier dancers and Premier dancers. Dancers in the oldest Premier group will receive cash awards. 1st – $30, 2nd – $25, 3rd – $20, 4th – $15, 5th – $10, 6th – $5
